Ygritte (Wildling of the free folk) is a character in Game of Thrones, part of The Wall & beyond. A spearwife of the free folk captured by Jon Snow's ranging party in the Skirling Pass, Ygritte is kissed by fire — red hair, which the wildlings call lucky. Born north of the Wall, she follows Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall who is uniting the clans, and she sees the Night's Watch as an occupying army on land that belongs to no lords. Sharp-tongued and utterly unafraid of her captor, she delights in telling Jon Snow exactly how little he knows.
