Who is Jack Shephard in Lost?
The reluctant shepherd · Flight 815 Survivors
Jack Shephard (The reluctant shepherd) is a character in Lost, part of Flight 815 Survivors. Dr Jack Shephard wakes in a bamboo grove and runs toward the burning fuselage of Oceanic 815 — straight into the role he will spend the entire story fighting and failing to refuse: the leader. A spinal surgeon built out of his father's impossible standards, Jack fixes things; it's the only setting he has. On an island that refuses to be fixed, his compulsive rationality becomes both the survivors' anchor and their most reliable source of conflict — especially with the man who thinks the island has plans.
