Who is Alex Kamal in The Expanse?
The pilot who found his ship · Crew of the Rocinante
Alex Kamal (The pilot who found his ship) is a character in The Expanse, part of Crew of the Rocinante. Alex Kamal flew for the Martian navy, traded it for a family on Mars he then failed at, and ended up pushing ice on the Canterbury with the accent and the cowboy patter of Mariner Valley. He is, by his own modest accounting, the best pilot in the system — a claim the Rocinante will give him every opportunity to prove. Alex's tragedy and his charm are the same thing: the ship is the only place he has ever truly belonged, and he knows exactly what that has cost.
