Dane (The aspirant) is a character in Fallout, part of Brotherhood of Steel. Dane is Maximus's closest thing to a friend in the Brotherhood barracks — a fellow aspirant, faster up the ropes and surer in the creed, tapped for squire ahead of him. The honor has a price Dane never gets to pay: an injury in the wash racks, ugly and deliberate-looking, takes them off the mission and puts Maximus on it. What happened, and who benefited, hangs over both of them.
