Maximus (The squire in borrowed armor) is a character in Fallout, part of Brotherhood of Steel. Maximus was raised by the Brotherhood of Steel after the wasteland took his family — a true believer in the order's steel and scripture who keeps failing its tests and absorbing its hazing. Made squire to the knight Titus more by accident than merit, he wants armor, purpose, and to be the kind of person the wasteland can't hurt anymore. When a chance at the armor itself presents, Maximus discovers his faith has a pragmatic streak.
